Television advertisers are pushing sugar and processed foods to our kids. Even our schools aren't supplying our kids with healthy eating habits. You should talk with your child about what new healthy food you could all try at dinner. Next, supply plenty of healthy foods and snacks. You are the shopper and it's up to you to buy the fruits and healthy snacks. Children will follow your lead, so be a good role model and follow healthy eating habits. Lastly, involve your kids in meal preparation. Children love to be creative. You may even let them create the meal. If we take the time to follow all of these steps, we can establish healthy eating habits in our children and for ourselves at the same time.
